CURE BOATING CLUB
Rowing in North Canterbury since 1868
OUR PROGRAMMES
Club Rowing
At Cure, any club member who actively participates in rowing is identified as a club rower.
Our club rowers range from high school to retirement age. Competitive summer season rowers participate in summer rowing regattas sanctioned by Rowing New Zealand, which runs from September to the end of March. Our Masters rowers row a winter season programme, although some row in the summer competitive season regattas.
Rowing skiffs and oars belong to the club and these are allocated according to the rowing ability of the various crews. A few members house privately owned boats at the clubhouse.
We have clear Rower Safety Guidelines for all club members and adhere to the Rowing New Zealand Water Safety Code (2016). See our Club Safety Policy and Procedures and supporting information on our Health and Safety page.
