February 2011 - Earthquake...

After the devestation of the September 2010 and February 2011 Christchurch Earthquakes, The Cure Boating Club is due for some major repairs. It is likely that club house will have to be completely rebuilt. Only a portion of that cost will be met by insurance. Although a devastating blow to Cure Rowing, the club is looking ahead and exploring avenues for funding the rebuild. While a massive task it is also an opportunity for the club to expand. It is estimated that the cost of the rebuild could be up to a million dollars... If you would like to help financially or have useful skills to donate please contact the club WE NEED YOU!!! Meanwhile the club sheds are usable with the current temporary emergency repairs in place.
