September 2010 - CUREMAN Julian Svoboda off to the USA
CUREMAN Julian Svoboda, has landed a rowing Scholarship at the University of Washington Seattle, USA. Julian will leave for the states in early January to Study and Row. The University of Washington has a huge rowing programme that draws in Olympians and world class athletes.It is an incredible honour for Julian to be a part of the Husky experience. All the Best Julian.
August 2010 - World University Rowing Champs, Szeged, Hungary
CUREMAN Armin Svoboda Jnr and partner Andrew O'connor gained a 3rd placing in the final of the Men's Ligthweight double. Rowing an intense finals race in very windy conditions saw the crew leading for the 1st 1500 meters in a tighly bunched field a good finish from Italy and Germany in lanes 5 and 4 resulted in a 3rd placing for the New Zealand duo.
April 2010 - New Zealand Unveristy Games
CUREMAN Armin Svoboda Jnr was selected after NZ University rowing trials, to compete and represent New Zealand at the World University Rowing Championships in Szegeg, Hungary. Armin will be rowing the lightweight double with fellow university student Andrew O'connor from the Waihopai Rowing Club.
February 2010 - National Champs
The 2010 National Champs were a great success for the Cure Boating Club who took 10 members to the regatta in Karapiro. Four of Cure's members combined to make a Composite crew With Timaru Rowing Club to compete in the Men's U21 8+ together these boys place 3rd. Alongside this Cure had it's own Successes in The U21 4- placing second amoungst more favoured RPC crews, and also 3rd in the U21 double and U21 Pair
